I’m a coach.  But as you can tell from this website, I also write quite a bit about topics related to personal development, psychology, and anything really that gives me deeper insight into what gives us happiness and meaning in our lives.  If you’re interested in this side of things too, then please do subscribe to my blog or like my Facebook page. You’ll also find me on LinkedIn.

Other titles I can add to my list: Mum, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Business Partner, Teacher, Manager, and Leader.  Plus juggler!

I have two official ‘jobs.’ I work part-time as Head of Business Development for a large not-for-profit organisation based in the UK.  There I lead on product development, strategic marketing, and business planning and work with a great many talented colleagues.   I’ve been lucky enough to work in ‘digital’ for over 15 years, developing products and services for education and research. I’ve led many different teams of experts in delivering complex technical services or research & development projects.

I lived in the USA for a while, where I earned a Ph.D. in English and Critical Theory from Michigan State University. During my time there, I taught a wide number of University courses in literature, film and digital media -which I loved.  But once my PhD was complete, I realised academia itself was not for me (I loved teaching, but was less keen on the academic publication side).  So I’m enjoying getting back into teaching again by delivering workshops with some of my great colleagues and associates.

I really value my portfolio career, and feel tremendously lucky to have two professional roles that truly complement one another.  and continue to thrive by connecting with the great teams and colleagues I work with.  I was first introduced to coaching in 2007, just as I was about to embark on a senior leadership role. I can honestly say it’s one of the most important things I’ve ever done in my life, and the natural progression for me was to learn more and become a coach myself.
